Rick
Humphrey is an officer and stockholder of the Firm. He joined Romito,
Tomasetti & Associates, P.C. in 1981 as a staff accountant, became an
Associate Member (Principal) of the Firm in 1987, and was admitted as an
officer and stockholder of the Firm in 2009. Prior to joining RTA, Rick was
a staff auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, an international accounting
firm.Rick’s primary focus is the firm’s accounting practice, overseeing audits and review engagements, including “Yellow Book” audits under government standards (including HUD and Federal Acquisition Regulations overhead audits). He is involved in the interpretation and application of accounting principles and auditing techniques and procedures as they apply to the firm’s closely held business clients. Rick also performs non-audit and tax preparation services for publicly held clients. An experienced tax professional, he also consults with clients on complex federal and multi-state taxation matters.
Rick majored in accounting at Babson College, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a member of the State Taxation Committee.
Rick’s personal pastimes include a passion for racing sailboats, jazz music, and refereeing youth hockey.
